I bought this in June 2009...Today, 7 months later it does not hold a charge.
The "1 Year Warranty" from the manufacturer will cost (for shipping), nearly 50% of original purchase price. In my experience, most warranty support includes shipping -- especially for clearly defective products. Paying (one-way) to ship a defective item for warranty service is aggravating, but not unreasonable. However the kicker is the company demands you include an additional $15 payment to compensate THEM for shipping the replacement back !!! This does not constitute a warranty.
Note other reviewer who has experienced precisely the same issue in nearly the same time frame -- AVOID this laptop battery !!
