This is a very well designed mouse, but the USB transceiver ruins the product. I cannot say good enough things about the design and usefulness of the mouse itself, but the usb transceiver melted after only a few hours of use due to bad design (CMOS latchup) and burned my wife's fingers as she tried to take it out of the USB port. No damage to my laptop occurred, but this product should be on a recall list. Microsoft support was very helpful in sending a replacement, which also failed within a few hours in the same manner. They were NOT helpful in sending a different model as a replacement. Stay away from this product unless you want to be burned. No really, actually burned!
