The Microsoft Keyboard 600 is one of the worst keyboards I have ever owned. I went through a succession of inexpensive keyboards because I use a keyboard a lot. I felt the keys on most of them wouldn't stand up to heavy use anyway, so I bought low end products, among them this one. I don't need a wireless keyboard--I already own a Logitech wired trackball mouse, an excellent mouse that helps avoid wrist and arm pain.
I'm constantly hitting some combination of keys which locks up my computer. So it's not only constructed of cheap plastic, but it's virtually unusable. Low end products from HP and Logitech aren't any better. So I bought a Saitek. Keyboards as a class of computer peripheral aren't that expensive, so it doesn't make sense to use something like the Microsoft Keyboard 600.
